Barbara, my love...

I'm hijacking this livejournal to pontificate about my never-ending love for Barbara Stanwyck. She is made of steel but will melt your heart like butter--only to get what she wants that is. She really does it in everything I've seen her in. She is just extraordinary to watch on screen, as well as to fall in love with. She is now my favorite actress of ALL-TIME!!!!!!! And she is sooo under-appreciated, it's staggering. Look at everything she's done; she has made so many greats films--it's mind-boggling!! It's only because she never won an oscar! Damn Academy Awards had to ruin history. If it weren't for those damn awards, there wouldn't be any difference in great films. They'd all be great films; there wouldn't be any differentiation between Classics that won Oscars, and those that hadn't. Damn You World!!!
